Three steps to the inside.
We keep the door small on purpose. It's what makes the room feel safe.
Step 1: Create your account
Sign up with your email, choose a username and tell us a little about you. It takes about two minutes.
Step 2: Verify it's really you
Use an invite from a member who knows you — or take a quick in-app selfie copying a random hand gesture. A woman on our team checks it.
Step 3: Karibu, sis
A moderator welcomes you in. Your selfie is deleted right after review, and it never appears on your profile.
Your first 14 days are a gentle warm-up. You can post, comment and react straight away; messaging, anonymous posts and invites unlock once you're settled in.

Who Pinky Promise is for
Pinky Promise is a private members' community created by women, for women, so we can talk openly about our lives, bodies and wellbeing.
Membership is open to women aged 18+ and reviewed by our team. We don't judge anyone by how she looks — verification only confirms you're a real person who shares our values.
Who can join?
Any woman aged 18 or over who shares our values. Most of us are in Kenya — Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu and beyond — and our sisters in the diaspora are welcome too. Every request is reviewed by our team.
How does verification work?
There are two ways in. If a member who knows you personally sends you an invite, she's vouching for you and you're welcomed straight in. No invite? Take a quick selfie in the app copying a random hand gesture we show you, and a woman on our moderation team confirms you're a real person.
What happens to my selfie?
Only our moderators see it, and only to confirm you're real. It never appears on your profile, we never run AI or face recognition on it, and it's deleted right after review — within 72 hours at most. Read the details in our privacy policy.
Is it free?
Yes. Pinky Promise is free to join and free to use — and there are no ads, either.
Can I post anonymously?
Yes, once you've been a member for 14 days. Other members won't see who posted. Our moderators can, so that anonymity is never used to hurt anyone.
Can men see anything?
No. Nothing on Pinky Promise — posts, photos, profiles, circles or events — is visible without a verified account. Not even a preview.
What if someone screenshots my post?
Sharing anything from Pinky Promise outside the community — screenshots included — gets a permanent ban. Photos and posts in sensitive circles carry a faint watermark with the viewer's username, so leaks can be traced.
Is there an app?
Pinky Promise installs straight to your home screen — no app store needed, and it barely uses any space.
